Isaac del Toro reinforced his grip on Tirreno-Adriatico with a commanding victory on Stage 6, crossing the finish line in Camerino three seconds ahead of his closest rivals. The Mexican rider from UAE Team Emirates further extended his overall race lead with this impressive performance.

Stage Victory on Demanding Finale

The 188-kilometer stage from San Severino Marche to Camerino culminated in a challenging uphill finish, featuring a steep 3.3-kilometer climb averaging 8%. Del Toro proved strongest on the demanding ascent, distancing his competitors in the closing moments of the race.

Podium Places

Norway’s Tobias Johannessen secured second place on the stage, followed by American Matteo Jorgenson in third. Italian hopeful Giulio Pellizzari launched an attack on the final climb but couldn’t maintain his effort in the last kilometer.

General Classification Impact

The victory significantly bolstered del Toro’s position in the overall standings, with the Mexican now holding a 42-second advantage over his closest rivals in the general classification. With just one stage remaining, del Toro has put himself in an excellent position to secure the overall title.
